Your flight delay does not have to become another hour in a chair.

After you clear security and confirm the gate, keep moving until boarding gets close. A few terminal loops can turn dead time into useful movement without adding another appointment to your day.

Use the boarding-gate walking rule

  • Confirm your gate and boarding time first.
  • Keep your phone audible for gate-change alerts.
  • Walk the nearby concourse for 10 to 20 minutes.
  • Return before your boarding group is called.

Wear comfortable walking shoes when practical and keep your carry-on light enough to move safely. If time is tight, even one purposeful loop counts.

The point is not to “burn off” travel food. It is to keep movement normal on a day built around sitting. The traveler who uses waiting time well needs less motivation later.

On your next trip, make the gate your checkpoint—not your chair. Find more travel-ready tools at LeanByHabit.com/program-pdf.
