A short strength workout completed today beats the perfect program postponed until the weekend.
When time is tight, reduce the volume—not the standard. Use the two-set rule to keep strength training in your week without turning a busy day into a zero day.
The two-set strength session
- Choose one squat or lunge.
- Choose one push.
- Choose one row or pull.
- Choose one hinge or loaded carry.
Perform two controlled working sets of each movement. Use a load that makes the set challenging while leaving one or two clean repetitions before your form would break down. Rest long enough to make the next set count.
Record the weight and repetitions. The next time you repeat the session, add one good rep or a small amount of resistance.
This is not your only way to train. It is your reliable floor—the session that protects consistency when the full workout does not fit.
